Rod and I used both machines today as the snow was very deep and drifted in many places.  Most trails are packed and tracked; very good ski conditions.  Exceptions are Clearview, Biffy Bypass, Skidder, Lil' Loop, Gulp II and EYC; however, all of these were done last week and should be easy to follow.   Thanks, John H.

Rod tracked the Ridge Trail  to Reuben Jones, China Loop, Fence Fun and Balsam yesterday and

Rod and John are tracking more trails this morning. Snow conditions are good. Lots of new snow this last week.

Average of 6 inches of new snow fall on the trails. Our groomers braved the cold & wind today to set track on all maintained trails. Conditions are excellent but wear your woolies.

The road to China Ridge Trails is heavily sanded and easily accessible. Ideal conditions. Trails are all tracked and have set up quite firm. Fast and fun! Come on out and enjoy.

Temperatures are brisk until the sun warms things up so put on your thick set of long johns.

I went out tracksetting today. I met Ed who was doing the kids area, and he said he would track the lower trails and I would do the upper. So I trackset the Ridge, Ridge Bypass, Logger's Loop, Lind Burn, Reuben Jone , Balsam, Harker’s and the upper half of 2010. Earlier, I very slowly took the skidoo without the tracksetter, through the snowshoe trail for the high school group using it on Tuesday.                                                                                    John

One to two inches of fresh snow last night on the trails. Trail conditions are fantastic. The base is solid, groomers have been regularly tracking and there is lots of snow blanketing the trees. Skiing doesn’t get any more beautiful. Head out and enjoy the trails.

Conditions are excellent.  All trails except Harkers were trackset today; Harkers was tracked a few days ago. We had 2 cm of snow this evening before I left and over 8 inches yesterday at the back end. Only about 5 cm at the Longhouse, but almost a foot of new snow and drifting out in Lind Burn.The road up is ploughed and sanded, conditions are fantastic and really beautiful scenically with the snow on the trees.

Two inches of fresh snow at the Longhouse and 5 inches of fresh snow at Reuben Jones and beyond. More falling today as I post. Most trails newly groomed and tracked. The road to CRT has been heavily sanded and is easily accessible. Conditions are excellent.

Lots of rain last night.

Road to CRT is extremely icy and no gravel as of 7:30 am today.

Two inches of new snow. Conditions are great. Trails tracked yesterday. Get out there and enjoy!

December 14, 2011 - New snow - Conditions are great.

Today Bob and I packed and tracked all the trails except fence fun and gulps 1 and 2. So go out there and use them up! Conditions are almost excellent (there is the odd pine needle on the trails following recent winds). The shelters all have wood and they are just waiting for visitors!

Trails packed and tracked as far as Reuben Jones as of Nov 24th.  A few more inches of fresh snow last night. Sunny skies and fabulous conditions. Come and check out China Ridge Trails.

Last week we managed to pack all the trails and even trackset a lot of them even though there was over 18" of snow out at the back end. Now with the present warm up we are keeping our fingers crossed that we can track again soon. So most of the trails are in good shape and we are just waiting for the skiers!

China Ridge Trails are now open for cross-country skiing. We have received a total of over two feet of snow in the last week. Conditions are great! Head up to the trails to check it out. Saturday family ski starts Saturday November 19th at 10:30.

The guys have packed the trails; there is tons of snow out there! The trails have been trackset only as far as Bob’s Shelter. Lind Burn and Harkers are not trackset, but everything else pretty well is.
